Popcorn Sales 2013

Posted on Oct 7 2013 - 11:43pm

The 2013 Popcorn campaign has started for the entire Orange County Council Boy Scouting program.  This year to help develop salesmanship skills and support the cost of operating Troop 660 every Scout family is required to sell a minimum of $100 of popcorn products.   This is new fundraising requirement recently approved by the Troop Committee.  To help reach the goal, Trail's End has added a few new tasty popcorn favors and products to choose from.  Meeting the sales goal can be reached by selling popcorn products directly door to door or by taking orders.  Since the entire council has started  selling popcorn getting out early will give you and advantage.  Again, this year orders may be placed online making it more convenient for your customers.   2013 marks 7th year where customers may also choose to make donations that will provide treats to our troops overseas, veterans and service families.  Donations opportunites are offered online at two levels - $35 silver level and $55 for thegold level. When consumers purchase this option, Trail's End will send a variety of popcorn treats to veterans' organizations, U.S. troops, and their families.  Donations to the troops count toward the required sales amount as well.  For additional information contact Justin S. or reference his email sent on September 22nd.

Thank You!

Posted on May 29 2013 - 10:24pm

A big thank you to everyone who helped build the four large pelican enclosures for my Eagle Leadership Project. Everyone did a tremendous job with the final assembly of the enclosures.  I appreciate the generosity of all twenty-one folks who woke up early on both days and made the trek to San Pedro to share their time and talent to support my project.   With the help of scouts, scouters, friends and family, we exceeded 517 labor hours in building the project without a single major injury.  The International Bird Rescue Center in San Pedro has moved the four enclosures into the building and they now serve as the infirmary for the most critical birds.  Your generosity of time and talent will truly impact our local aviary community.  Please let me know if you and/or a sibling require service hours for rank advancement or for school.   If you are interested in learning more about the International Bird Rescue Center, feel free to check this link.
