Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 660's website!

We meet at St. Irenaeus Church in the parish hall on Monday nights from 7:30 to 9:00pm.

All boys who are 11 years of age, or 10 years old and finished with 5th grade or have earned the Webelos Arrow of Light award, and are not yet 18 years old are welcome to join Boy Scout Troop 660.    Boys and their families are not required to be members of St. Irenaeus Parish, or be Catholic.  Our troop is a diverse unit of boys who come together to grow as individuals and as members of a patrol.  If you are interested in learning more about or joining our Troop feel free to contact the Scoutmaster or Committee Chair for more information.  Boys who are under the age of 11 or have not finished the 5th grade are encouraged to check out Cub Scout Pack 660

New Members Among Us

Posted on Jun 17 2014 - 12:24am

Six new boys have just joined Troop 660 (1 from Pack 660 St. Irenaeus, 3 from Pack 683 King Elem., and 2 first timers in Scouting) within the past 2 months.  These six scouts and their families have committed to join our Troop.  We are looking forward to seeing them join in activities and troop meetings.  This is a great time to reflect on how you plan on sharing your Scout skills and Scouting experience with our new scouts.  Part of being a solid citizen and helpful Scout is giving back to help others learn and grow.  Remember we were all new at one time, so take a moment and welcome each and every new member into our troop family.  Offer a friendly hello and conversation.

Next Court Of Honor - June 30, 2014

Attention Scouts:

If you are looking to advance to the next rank at the June 30th Court of Honor, make sure you contact Mr. May to request a Scoutmaster's Conference (SMC). After SMC is completed, then contact Mrs. Sacamay or Mr. Gonzalez to set-up an appointment for a Board of Review (BOR) no later than 6/23. The BOR will be available on 6/23. All scouts should present themselves in full uniform (including current patches) and their Scout Handbook with completed requirments for their next rank for both the SMC and BOR.  Be prepared to discuss your Scouting knowledge and experiences.  Written proof of service projects and write-ups of outing/event led must also be presented to receive credit.  If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Malig, Mrs. Li or Mrs. Matsunaga.

Summer Camp Parent Orientation and Q & A Session

Posted on Jun 9 2014 - 9:24am

Just a reminder, tonight during the troop meeting a 45 minute Orientation session will be held on the picnic benches. It is recommended that at least one parent of each scout who is going to Summer Camp at Oljato attend this meeting.  Adults who are going to camp should also attend. The meeting will cover daily camp activities and what to and not to pack.  Information about free physical exams will be provided.  Driving plans and departure information will also be covered. There is still space so if you want to attend Summer Camp this is a meeting you do not want to miss.
